The Scramble of Fortune was a last-minute addition to our first quiz and was our first standalone puzzle once we started separating the two.

We came up with the name Scramble of Fortune in less time than it takes to spin the wheel on the game show Wheel of Fortune. However, over time two things have contradicted the name of the game:

• It is not a word scramble; it is an anagram puzzle
• It has nothing to do with Wheel of Fortune

The existing game format involved dragging and dropping letters around a grid, which was our attempt to relate the puzzle to the game show. But this came with a flaw - the larger the anagram or the solution is, the larger the grid has to be, which means smaller touch points on mobile devices, leading to a less desirable user experience.

So we’ve updated the UX of Scramble of Fortune and renamed it to Anagrama (that’s Anagram in Spanish). This new format allows for a better experience, no matter the size of the anagram or the solution.

It’s also a lot harder, as we’ve had to say goodbye to the shuffle and collapse features, but who doesn’t love a challenge?
