Our collection, use and disclosure of personal information is governed by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with requirements of the Privacy Act and applies in respect of our website https://www.saturdayquiztime.com.au/ (Site) and all quizzes and puzzles available on it (Quiz).

The privacy of your personal information is important to us so please take the time to read this Privacy Policy carefully in conjunction with our Terms and Conditions.

Information we collect

To subscribe to the Quiz, you provide us with your email address or an Australian mobile telephone number. We will also collect your credit card details if you subscribe to the premium subscription.

If you purchase merchandise from the store on our Site, we also collect names, delivery addresses, contact phone numbers and your credit card details information.

An Internet Protocol (IP) address is a small set of numbers automatically assigned to your computer when you log onto the internet. We may use general information about your visit to the Site, including your IP address and the date and time of your visit, to assist us in improving the quality and useability of the Site.

How we use your information

We will only use your personal information for the purpose conducting our business, including supplying the Quiz or other products to you or as otherwise in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Purposes for collecting personal information include, but are not limited to:

1. providing you with use of and administering, managing, developing and improving the Quiz or the Site;
2. processing orders made on our merchandise store;
3. responding to your enquiries or complaints;
4. identifying you when you contact us;
5. generating and maintaining a profile for you;
6. business marketing;
7. complying with the law;
8. processing payments you have authorised; and
9. any other purposes identified at the time of collecting your personal information.

We will never supply your personal information to any third party for advertising or promotional purposes.

We will send you a unique link to the Quiz every Saturday morning after 8:00 am AEST via email or SMS, depending on your preference. We will from time to time send other emails or text messages to you for special announcements, but these will be very limited and only be related to the Quiz.

How we store your personal information

We take all reasonable and lawful steps to keep personal information secure, accurate and up to date and only retain your personal information for as long as reasonably required to satisfy the purpose for which they were collected and used (unless a longer period is necessary for our legal obligations or to defend a legal claim). This means that:

1. personal information may be stored by us on secure servers in digital format, via the Cloud or via secured physical files;
2. our employees and data processors are obliged to respect the confidentiality of any personal information or data; and
3. we only permit authorised personnel to access your personal information.

We will take reasonable steps to protect your personal information as you transmit your information from your electronic device to us and to protect such information from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, use, modification, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Third-party services

We also utilise other companies and individuals to perform certain functions on our behalf. We will disclose your information to these third parties only to the extent necessary to perform their functions. Each of these third parties have their own Privacy Policy, which you can learn about by visiting their website.

To the maximum extent provided by the relevant laws, we are not responsible or liable for the protection and privacy of any personal information which is provided to third parties. This means that, where your personal information has been provided to us, you accept and agree that the personal information provided will be held by third parties and may be used by them in accordance with the Privacy Act and any privacy policy they may have in place at any relevant time and in such circumstances, the third party recipient will be solely responsible for their use of this personal information.

Consent

Your consent to this Privacy Policy is the legal basis upon which we can collect, use, store, process and disclose your personal information.

If you make an order on our online merchandise store via the Site, the personal information you provide us is made available to a third party supplier to enable fulfilment of the delivery, which you consent to.

You acknowledge and agree that:

1. by registering for the Quiz, you are consenting to providing us with your personal information and agree to your personal information being collected, stored, used, processed and disclosed in accordance with this Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions;
2. you consent to us supplying personal information to third-party suppliers in order to provide our services; and
3. you have had a sufficient opportunity to access and review this Privacy Policy and you have read this Privacy Policy (in its entirety) and agreed to its terms.

If you do not wish to provide personal information to us, then you are not obliged to do so. However, please be aware that you will be unable to register for and access the Site without providing the minimum amount of personal information required in the registration process. You cannot subscribe to the Quiz without agreeing to be bound by this Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.

We have taken steps to ensure our databases are secure, and are confident in our ability to keep your information safe.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your hard disk that allows our servers to identify and interact more effectively with your device. We use cookies only to aide the user experience of the Site. This is for information like keeping track of score or your colour scheme preference. No personal information like mobile numbers, email addresses are stored in any cookies. We may also use cookies from Facebook, Google and other services to improve your online experience.

In most internet browsers you can either accept or decline cookies, or adjust the browser settings to decline all cookies. Please note that declining cookies may impact your experience of the Quiz or limit the use or functionality of the Site.

Opting out of our SMS

If you want to unsubscribe from Saturday Quiz Time at anytime, text the word STOP to 0481608728 or email us at hello@saturdayquiztime.com.au and you will no longer receive our messages or emails.

Updates

We reserve the right, in our sole and absolute discretion, to change, modify, add or remove portions of this Privacy Policy from time to time and without notice you. If we do so, we will publish the revised policy on our Site, which will apply whether or not we have given you specific notice of any change. The collection and use of your personal information will be governed by this Privacy Policy at the time of collection and use of the personal information.

By continuing to use the Quiz or our Site, you acknowledge and agree that this Privacy Policy, including any updates or changes made to it, shall override all previous versions and remain binding on you.

Complaints

We have procedures in place for dealing with complaints and concerns about our practices in relation to the Privacy Act and any alleged breach of this Privacy Policy.
